Dance Hall Crashers - Purr Deluxe Dance Hall Crashers
Pink Vinyl 2LP housed in a gatefold jacket. Out of print since 1999. Expanded with 7 extra songs.Features updated album packaging and new cover art drawn by Sam Grinberg (The Simpsons)
Dance Hall Crashers delivered their heaviest album yet with Purr. Produced by Fat Mike and mixed by Tim Palmer, the record captures the punchy, arena-scale energy of their live shows. Highlights include the ferocious opener "Beverly Kills," the anti-suck-up anthem "The Real You," the grungy "Remember to Breathe," and '60s-pop-infused "Make Her Purr." The band pairs their signature ska-punk hooks and biting lyrics with moments of vulnerability, like the acoustic track "Cricket." Ultimately, Purr stands as a studio release that fully captures DHC's live intensity, sharp wit, and genre-blending sound.
