Mutant, in partnership with WaterTower Music, and HBO are proud to present the debut physical release of Dan Romer's Emmy Award®-nominated score to Season One of A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms.

Dan Romer’s score for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is undoubtedly one of the year’s finest. This Emmy-nominated score is intimate, beautiful, and emotionally resonant in a way that few television scores of recent years have achieved. Heavily influenced by the spaghetti western scores of Ennio Morricone as well as the medieval folk music that inspired the show, Romer trades in the grandiose orchestrations of Game of Thrones or House of the Dragon for a sparser (but no less spectacular) soundscape that features plucked guitar strings, fiddles, and plenty of whistling.

As a result, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms establishes itself as its own unique musical entity. Romer does masterfully incorporate Ramin Djawadi’s iconic Game of Thrones theme at a pivotal moment in the score, and this is done to thrilling effect.

The CD release is housed in a digipak wrapped in a printed interactive PET sleeve and booklet featuring eight stunning portraits of the main characters from the show with artwork by Greg Ruth.
