Christian Cohle - Queen Of Ashes Christian Cohle

Alternative art-rock artist Christian Cohle will release his third studio album, Queen of Ashes on October 16th - an immersive and deeply personal LP exploring addiction, transformation, healing and the search for meaning in the aftermath of collapse.

Described “as one of Ireland's best kept secrets” (The Line of Best Fit), Christian Cohle has emerged as an artist with a distinctly accomplished sound, marked by an intensely immersive and raw quality.

Championed by CLASH, Nialler9, Fame Magazine, Hot Press, Today FM, Amazing Radio and more, With his third full-length offering, Cohle enters his most vulnerable and assured era yet. Exploring the myths and false promises he built his life around - from love and addiction to fantasy and faith - Queen of Ashes follows the slow unravelling of his identity, asking what remains when the stories he's lived by can no longer sustain him.

'Queen Of Ashes' explores Cohle's search for meaning and identity as the life he has built begins to collapse: “How do we receive love after spending years trying to earn it, buy it, perform it, or replace it?”

Stylistically, the LP marks a warm evolution of Cohle's sound. Whilst previous releases leaned into atmospheric electronica, and dark, brooding imagery, Queen of Ashes embraces a richer and more expansive post-wave palette, drawing infl uence from LCD Soundsystem, David Bowie, Talking Heads, Talk Talk and Tears for Fears.
