BUD POWELL - Time Waits: The Amazing Bud Powell, Vol. 4 - UHQ-CD

UHQ-CD - Marking 85 years representing The Finest In Jazz, UM Japan are making available no less than 118 titles selected from Blue Note’s analog "Tone Poet" and "Classic Vinyl" reissue series on UHQ-CD. Remastering by Kevin Gray, these releases reproduce the sound of the original master tapes as faithfully as possible. Each title is presented on 1 UHQ-CD jewel case with obi-strip with original sleeve notes reproduced on the back inlay. 

The 4th volume of The Amazing Bud Powell series recorded in 1958 found the brilliant bebop piano master in particularly fine form on an ebullient set of his original tunes including “Buster Rides Again,” “Monopoly,” and “John’s Abbey.” Powell’s inventive solo flights shine in a trio setting with Sam Jones on bass and ‘Philly’ Joe Jones on drums.
