The Shadow of the Guest is a new limited-edition release from Blonde Redhead, following their acclaimed 2023 album Sit Down for Dinner, and out on October 24, 2025.

Pressed on black vinyl and hand-numbered, the record features newly expanded versions of “Before,” “Rest of Her Life,” and “Via Savona,” recorded with the Brooklyn Youth Chorus. It also includes reimagined versions of the viral favourite “For the Damaged Coda,” including a beautiful mariachi-inspired take, as well as a collection of ambient ASMR tracks crafted by Kazu. Dreamlike, intimate, and a slightly surreal, The Shadow of the Guest offers a fresh lens on the world of Sit Down for Dinner and beyond, inviting listeners to tap into the sense of wonder and childlike emotion that run through the band’s work.
