Berg & Bedragare - Berg & Bedragare IV Berg & Bedragare

Berg & Bedragare release their fourth album, Berg & Bedragare IV.

Berg & Bedragare are folky, rocky, saucy and poetic. After a five-year hiatus, the band are back with an album recorded over a few intense days at the legendary Swedish prog studio Nacksving. Here, the band return to a more organic sound, shaped by live takes full of warmth and nerve. The album was recorded and produced by Johan Weber, who is also Valter Nilsson’s partner-in-crime at the independent record label BlackValley Records.

As always, Christoffer Berg’s songwriting is at the heart of it all, with stories about life, strangeness and mysteries. On Berg & Bedragare IV, the lyrics move between dreams of life in decline and resurgence, black seas and homesickness, dead days and a longing to be elsewhere. The music is created by people who, at some point, began drawing inspiration from overweight troubadours, Värmland prog and the river flowing away in The Ballad of Easy Rider.

The band consists of Christoffer Berg, Pontus Blom, Edward Sensier, Patrik Berg and Per Baltzar. The members have been, and continue to be, involved in other constellations such as Spela Död, Capricorn, Easy October, Big Exit and Strängen. Berg & Bedragare have previously released three albums and an EP on BlackValley Records.
