‘Sun Divider,’ the new collaborative EP by Atli Örvarsson and Talos, is a poignant and mesmerising release, set to drop December 06 on the INNI label. This four-track EP is the first music from Talos since his untimely passing in August of this year. Completed before his death, the release honours his wishes and marks the beginning of three projects that will see the light of day.

Crafted over a year of collaboration, the EP was shaped through sessions in Atli’s native Iceland, Talos’ home in West Cork, Ireland, and London. The result is a seamless blend of their unique musical styles. Atli, a BAFTA-winning, Emmy-nominated modern classical composer and producer, is known for his work on film and TV soundtracks. Talos, an acclaimed singer and producer with three albums to his name—including the Choice Music Prize-nominated Wild Alee—brought his haunting vocals and emotive style to the project. Together, they explored the intersection of their musical venn diagrams to create something truly transcendent.

The EP was written and produced by Atli and Talos, with additional production and programming by Ross Dowling, who also mixed the release. Featuring strings recorded with Sinfonia Nord in Akureyri, Iceland, and mastering by Matt Colton at Metropolis in London, Sun Divider is a work of art in every detail. The stunning artwork, designed by Alex Soutre, completes the package.
