Arnaud Dolmen & Leonardo Montana - LéNo Arnaud Dolmen & Leonardo Montana

The phenomenal Guadeloupean drummer and composer, a two-time Victoires de la Musique award winner, returns with a brand new project: an intimate duo with the brilliant Brazilian pianist Leonardo Montana. Step into a dreamlike world with these two fearless virtuosos, musical explorers whose inspirations know no bounds. A captivating album, recorded without a safety net and pursued with uncompromising artistic conviction. A truly immersive record: turn the volume all the way up and let the sounds burst forth, the haunting piano strings, the drums and cymbals exploding, snapping, rumbling and crackling.

One might imagine that a duo would somehow feel incomplete. It doesn't. Carried away by rhythm and dance, spellbound by the piano's hypnotic ostinatos, cascading runs and fearless leaps into the unknown, the mind simply surrenders. This is a world where two musicians sound like five or ten, where every space resonates with history, conviction, imagination and dreams. Drawing the very best from his Jazzette, the smallest configuration of a drum kit, Arnaud Dolmen transcends tradition, expands the expressive possibilities of his instrument, and displays astonishing inventiveness, bringing new dimensions to every musical line played by Leonardo Montana.

Rooted in the rich legacy of Créolité, that "continent of islands" stretching from the Caribbean to the shores of Louisiana and Brazil, Arnaud Dolmen and Leonardo Montana follow the path forged by those who came before them, delivering a spellbinding album that is both strikingly modern and timeless. A shared journey. One voice. LéNo. David Koperhant
