The debut album by Frankie Goes to Hollywood was released in 1984 after the runaway success of the singles "Relax" and "Two Tribes". It had pre-orders of over a million copies and went straight in at number one in the UK album chart. Produced by Trevor Horn, it was seen as a ground-breaking release and helped define pop music production in the eighties.
This extensive collection gives an unprecedented insight into how Frankie Goes to Hollywood shaped their debut album with Trevor Horn producing. The discs are housed in a slip-sleeved 10” by 10” box and feature a new remastered version of the album and a collection of demos, outtakes, BBC Sessions, and unreleased material. The 7CD/1 Blu-ray Super Deluxe Edition also features a 38-page book, with a foreword by Paul Sinclair and a detailed timeline by Kevin Foakes aka DJ Food.
