Montana folk duo Montana folk duo Buffalo Traffic Jam have been a band for less than two years - having first connected at Montana State - but their sound tells a different story. The music, anchored by lead singer, Frankie Cassidy, voice, carries the weight and conviction of seasoned road veterans, delivering a kind of raw emotion that resonates deeply with audiences everywhere.

Their highly anticipated 14-track debut album, Pictures of You, is a raw and vulnerable portrait of growing older, capturing the space between nostalgia and hope for what lies ahead.  The album includes breakout song, Fool’s Gold, as well as their single, “Pictures of You,” a powerful, reflective and emotional take on love and loss.   

Despite its humble intimacy, “Pictures of You” captures so much of what has made Buffalo Traffic Jam an unstoppable force. With his smoky, whisper-close voice and detailed storytelling, Frankie Cassidy immerses us immediately in a moment of personal searching: “I’ve been baptized, cheated on, married twice / I don’t even know where to go / You said you needed space, I got time, time to waste / I don’t even have a home.” But even as the lyrics portray a man profoundly lost, he and Nathan Ross blaze a steady musical trail forward, building from bare acoustics — guitar, mandolin, strings — to a rousing, full-band sound brimming with hope.
