Son Lux - Out Into Son Lux

Based in the US, active since 2013. Son Lux are a trio composed of Ryan Lott, Ian Chang and Rafiq Bhatia. Rooted incuriosity and searching for equilibrium of raw emotional intimacy and meticulous electronic constructions, we can say if needed, that Son Lux qualifies under the experimental rock, post-rock, and electronic rock genres.

They experience their first break with the title “Easy” incl. alt versions by Woodkid (2013) and Lorde (2014). Nominated for Best Original Score with Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022-Daniel Kwan) by The Academy Award and BAFTA. Son Lux performed at the Oscars for their Best Song nomination along w/ David Byrne and Stephanie Hsu. 

On September 18, Son Lux will release their propulsive ninth studio album, *Out Into*, on City Slang. Lott and his bandmates—guitarist Rafiq Bhatia and percussionist Ian Chang—plunged themselves into the most rhythmically sumptuous, lyrically urgent Son Lux album yet. Across nearly two decades, Son Lux has earned its reputation for splendour and sweep, but Out Into is something different: a punchy suite of tactile, detail-minded songs born from dazzling moments of collective improvisation
