Recorded in 1996, the record captures the early days of a band still in their rawest form, already driven by a singular stage energy and a boundless imagination. Entirely sung in English, Happening Songs unfolds a free and inventive sonic universe where indie rock, dark humour and surreal visions intertwine. Tracks such as Wet, Polar Girl and Screamin’ Like An Egg sketch the foundations of a poetic, strange and deeply endearing artistic world that would become Dionysos’s signature.
