Phil Collins - ...But Seriously (2026 Reissue) Phil Collins

On the day before Phil Collins is inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame we will reissue his entire catalogue on vinyl with the original sleeves, featuring the 2016 remasters. This follows the previous versions that featured the 2015/2016 deluxe edition sleeves, but they will now revert to the original.

Arriving at the end of the ’80s, …But Seriously found Phil Collins turning his sharpest pop instincts toward weightier, more socially conscious terrain. The album marks a shift from the confessional introspection of his earlier solo work toward a broader worldview—examining homelessness, inequality, and political complacency without ever losing the melodic clarity that made him a global phenomenon.

Built around warm, organic production and Collins’ unmistakable rhythmic drive, the record moves seamlessly between widescreen balladry and tightly wound pop-soul. “Another Day in Paradise” sets the tone—somber, spacious, and quietly urgent—while tracks like “Something Happened on the Way to Heaven” and “Hang in Long Enough” showcase Collins in full, exuberant, big-band mode.

…But Seriously is an album of contrasts: reflective yet immediate, socially aware yet undeniably radio-ready. It stands as one of Collins’ most cohesive statements—an artist leveraging his chart-topping power to say something bigger, and doing it with conviction, craft, and a surprising amount of heart.
