Emma Hynes - Tajo Emma Hynes

Emma Hynes has woven alt, new, and indie folk together with pop, rock, poetic lyrics, and rich visual art to create her debut album, Tajo; a striking and original new body of work which has been a lifetime in the making for the Dublin singer-songwriter.

Tajo is a space where nature, wildlife, and diverse terrain blend with its various genres, sounds, textures, and themes to form its own unique and vibrant landscape, which Emma invites you to discover across two transformative acts. The record’s words, music, name, ideas, artwork, and physical formats were conjured in Ireland and Spain.

Emma’s distinctive and evocative voice, beautiful melodies, and thoughtful lyrics are the listener's guide as alt-folk meets alt-rock; classic indie combines with classical guitar and castanets; poetry and the spaghetti western align; and impressions from both countries combine to form new territory.
