Released in 1980, Outubro marked the start of Azymuth’s prolific era with Milestone Records, following their acclaimed album Light As A Feather.
The record blends samba rhythms, jazz, funk and electronic sounds with the trio’s signature precision and chemistry. Highlights include the dancefloor favourites Dear Limmertz and Maracana, alongside the samba-jazz masterpiece Un Amigo. The album also features reimagined covers of songs by Milton Nascimento and Chick Corea.
