With countless awards (NME, Brit and MTV), Grammy nominations and multi-million-selling albums, The Killers' previous two studio albums had rarely left the global charts since the release of Hot Fuss in 2004, and they looked set to continue their commercial success with this latest offering.

Produced by Stuart Price, the album sees the band experimenting with new sounds and a new style, moving into the realm of dance and "perfect pop" while retaining their original anthemic rock sound. With tracks such as "Human" and "Spaceman" described as sweeping, epic rock songs, the rest of the album is filled with some of their finest material to date, accompanied by a renewed sense of excitement and confidence.
