Throughout, a strong sense of home prevails, both their own hard-won digs, past and present, and an inner refuge for anyone longing for connection beyond time and geography. “All these songs have addresses,” says co-frontman \u003cstrong\u003eDiarmuid Mac Gloinn\u003c\/strong\u003e. “They’re about specific locations and specific people.” The brothers cite fiction writers \u003cstrong\u003eGeorge Saunders\u003c\/strong\u003e and \u003cstrong\u003eClaire Keegan\u003c\/strong\u003e as particular inspirations on this record.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe brotherly harmonies and multi-instrumental abilities of \u003cstrong\u003eDiarmuid\u003c\/strong\u003e and \u003cstrong\u003eBrían Mac Gloinn\u003c\/strong\u003e were joined on ‘\u003cem\u003eAll Tied Together\u003c\/em\u003e’ by multi-instrumentalists \u003cstrong\u003eShahzad Ismaily\u003c\/strong\u003e (Laura Viers, Cass McCombs) who flew over from Brooklyn, \u003cstrong\u003eAlain Mc Fadden\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eCaimin Gilmore\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eKate Ellis\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eSam Amidon\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eRomain Bly\u003c\/strong\u003e and \u003cstrong\u003eLouise Gaffney\u003c\/strong\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eWhile initially achieving renown as purveyors of their ancestors’ music mixed with folk-based originals, the Mac Gloinn brothers – Brían and Diarmuid - have increasingly focused on honing their own material, enlisting trusted co-conspirators to distill voice and vision into potent tunes. They have brought their interpretation of the Irish folk tradition to global audiences, going from Trad sessions to touring with the likes of Hozier and boygenius.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe band will spend the rest of 2025 touring including US dates supporting \u003cem\u003eI’m With Her\u003c\/em\u003e, EU and Ireland shows.
