Hook, Albrecht and Curtis hooked up at a local concert and later formed the group Warsaw. The band’s name was taken from a \u003cstrong data-start=\"450\" data-end=\"465\"\u003eDavid Bowie\u003c\/strong\u003e-\u003cstrong data-start=\"466\" data-end=\"479\"\u003eBrian Eno\u003c\/strong\u003e composition, \u003cem data-start=\"493\" data-end=\"505\"\u003e“Warszawa”\u003c\/em\u003e. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"417\" data-end=\"656\"\u003eThe five bonus tracks on this album are demos cut by the group at Pennine Studios in Manchester on July 18, 1977, with \u003cstrong data-start=\"625\" data-end=\"646\"\u003eSteve Brotherdale\u003c\/strong\u003e on drums. The first eleven tracks presented here were the result of a recording session for that album that took place in early May of 1978. Rehearsals leading up to the session resulted in two new songs being added to the group’s existing repertoire: \u003cem data-start=\"900\" data-end=\"913\"\u003e“Interzone”\u003c\/em\u003e and \u003cem data-start=\"918\" data-end=\"935\"\u003e“Transmission.”\u003c\/em\u003e \u003cem data-start=\"936\" data-end=\"949\"\u003e“Interzone”\u003c\/em\u003e was based on the backing track of the song \u003cem data-start=\"993\" data-end=\"1016\"\u003e“Keep On Keepin’ On,”\u003c\/em\u003e to which the band added their own lyrics. The result was a song distinctively their own. \u003cem data-start=\"1107\" data-end=\"1123\"\u003e“Transmission”\u003c\/em\u003e was written by the band during the final week of rehearsals.
