Other highlights on the A-side include Bennett’s easy, bass-heavy jazz groover \u003cem\u003e“Sequence Of Events”\u003c\/em\u003e and the spare, building, undercover funk of Steve Gray’s aptly-named \u003cem\u003e“Low Profile”\u003c\/em\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe B-side is straight-up fantastic. The percussive, vibey exotica of Jim Lawless’s \u003cem\u003e“Keeping Pace”\u003c\/em\u003e is followed by five tracks of slick, weighty funk breaks from Johnny Pearson. Check the pure groove of \u003cem\u003e“Jaguar”\u003c\/em\u003e with its head-nod drum break intro, the creeping piano-strings combo and… er… giant neck-snapping breaks of \u003cem\u003e“Giant’s Causeway”\u003c\/em\u003e, the speaker-smashing progressive bass groove of \u003cem\u003e“Fugitive”\u003c\/em\u003e, the tense \u003cem\u003e\"Rock Climb\"\u003c\/em\u003e and the sheer heft of \u003cem\u003e\"Heavy Load\"\u003c\/em\u003e. Library largeness. If that isn’t enough, John Scott’s incessant \u003cem\u003e“Flight Of The Phoenix”\u003c\/em\u003e ends the session, brilliantly pilfered by \u003cstrong\u003eM.O.P.\u003c\/strong\u003e for their much-loved \u003cem\u003e“We Run New York”\u003c\/em\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOriginally released in 1976 but wonderfully timeless, \u003cem\u003eVisual Impact\u003c\/em\u003e is a rare example of a library record that’s a genuinely great listen from start to finish.
