We pick out some choice Central and East African sounds with \u003cstrong\u003eKakai Kilonzo\u003c\/strong\u003e’s bri liant \u003cstrong\u003eKilimambogo Brothers Band\u003c\/strong\u003e and Congolese legend \u003cstrong\u003eBaba Gaston\u003c\/strong\u003e’s \u003cstrong\u003eOrchestra Baba National\u003c\/strong\u003e capturing the joy of the festive season. We stop off in Zim for a rare \u003cstrong\u003eDorothy Masuka\u003c\/strong\u003e acoustic piece and one of the country’s great musicians post-independence, \u003cstrong\u003ePaul “Dr. Love” Matavire\u003c\/strong\u003e with ‘\u003cem\u003eChristmas Yaswedera\u003c\/em\u003e’ (‘\u003cem\u003eChristmas Is Near\u003c\/em\u003e’). Township jazz star \u003cstrong\u003eReggie Msomi\u003c\/strong\u003e appears with a joyous township instrumental and, fina ly, we couldn’t release a Christmas co lection without some carols.
