Lindsey recalls Tommy was in “bluesy mood” and wanted to keep things loose. John was the one who suggested Tommy play a few solo tunes.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe results are sparkling versions of many well-known tunes, great trio interplay and three solo gems.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eInterestingly, \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cem\u003e\u003cspan\u003eBlues in the Closet\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, was also on Tommy’s 1984 album release, with \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003eTony Williams\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e and \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003eRon Carter\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe tape was discovered in the late John Wadham’s archives by fellow drummer and Irish jazz archivist \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003eConor Guilfoyle\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e.
