Having played a number of European festivals supporting \u003cstrong\u003ethe Cure\u003c\/strong\u003e in 1989 the band embarked on a low-key Scottish Highlands tour followed later that year by a headline appearance at the Reading Festival, before returning to the studio to complete the album.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eReleased in February 1990, Tim Palmer was re-enlisted to produce the record, while \u003cstrong\u003eReeves Gabrels\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eBaluji Shrivastav\u003c\/strong\u003e, and \u003cstrong\u003eGuy Chambers\u003c\/strong\u003e also made contributions. The first single, \"\u003cem\u003eButterfly on a Wheel\u003c\/em\u003e\", released in January 1990 charted at #12, followed by the Top 40 singles \"\u003cem\u003eDeliverance\u003c\/em\u003e\", \"\u003cem\u003eInto the Blue\u003c\/em\u003e\" and \"\u003cem\u003eHands Across the Ocean\u003c\/em\u003e\" with the album itself charting at #7.
