But he had started out in the Rocksteady era, when he formed the vocal group \u003cstrong\u003e‘Tartans’\u003c\/strong\u003e, taking lead vocal duties alongside \u003cstrong\u003eDevon Russell\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003ePrince Lincoln Thompson\u003c\/strong\u003e and \u003cstrong\u003eLindbergh Lewis\u003c\/strong\u003e. They cut \u003cem\u003e‘Dance All Night’\u003c\/em\u003e (1967) and \u003cem\u003e‘Coming On Strong’\u003c\/em\u003e (1968). The line-Up became \u003cstrong\u003eThe Royal Rasses,\u003c\/strong\u003e and from this Cedric moved on to form the Congos on meeting \u003cstrong\u003eRoydel Johnson\u003c\/strong\u003e, who had previously sung with \u003cstrong\u003eRas Michael and the Sons of Negas\u003c\/strong\u003e. Cedric’s Rasta roots were firmly in place when he went to work with producer \u003cstrong\u003eLee Perry\u003c\/strong\u003e to cut the seminal album \u003cem\u003e‘Heart Of The Congos’\u003c\/em\u003e at Perry’s just-built Black Ark Studios in 1977.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCedric Myton has carried on the mantle, cutting a set of tunes with the help of his good friend \u003cstrong\u003eMr Brent Dowe\u003c\/strong\u003e, who had previously sung lead vocals with \u003cstrong\u003ethe Melodians\u003c\/strong\u003e. This is the Dub set to the vocal album released on the Kingston Sounds label called \u003cem\u003e‘The Congos Feast’ \u003c\/em\u003e(KS008). With such strong songs, rhythms and vocals, it always had the chemistry for a great dub set.
