Before this reunion Amanda and Keith had spent time in England because she had a contract as a solo artist with Warner Bros. To make ends meet, Amanda even worked in a fish and chip shop in London!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"929\" data-end=\"1261\"\u003eOnce Fig moved to New York to join a band named \u003cstrong data-start=\"977\" data-end=\"986\"\u003eTopaz\u003c\/strong\u003e, Amanda and Keith soon followed. At that point fate brought them together with Holly Knight and bassist \u003cstrong data-start=\"1091\" data-end=\"1107\"\u003eJimmy Lowell\u003c\/strong\u003e. In 1978, Fig was hired to play drums on the first \u003cstrong data-start=\"1162\" data-end=\"1177\"\u003eAce Frehley\u003c\/strong\u003e solo album, connecting him to \u003cstrong data-start=\"1208\" data-end=\"1216\"\u003eKISS\u003c\/strong\u003e in a way that was to continue in the future.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"1263\" data-end=\"1545\"\u003eOnce KISS manager \u003cstrong data-start=\"1281\" data-end=\"1296\"\u003eBill Aucoin\u003c\/strong\u003e became involved, and Holly managed to get the band's demo tape to famous songwriter \u003cstrong data-start=\"1381\" data-end=\"1397\"\u003eMike Chapman\u003c\/strong\u003e at an industry party, the pieces were all falling into place and they were signed to Mike Chapman and \u003cstrong data-start=\"1500\" data-end=\"1515\"\u003eNicky Chinn\u003c\/strong\u003e's new record label Dreamland.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"1547\" data-end=\"1782\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\"\u003eBut despite some great songs that were covered by many artists later, the album failed to sell in big numbers, and the band focused on their follow-up.
