There couldn’t be a more fitting alternative disco banger to pull back the curtain with and beckon you into the world of \u003cem\u003eDanceteria\u003c\/em\u003e. The final album is a homage to the legendary nightclub where young Marc and Dave would party until the small hours after the recording sessions for their seminal 1981 debut \u003cem\u003eNon-Stop Erotic Cabaret\u003c\/em\u003e. The final flourish of glitter to Soft Cell’s \u003cem\u003eOut Come The Freaks\u003c\/em\u003e comes courtesy of guest vocals from Nona Hendryx, the iconic singer, one third of \u003cstrong\u003eLabelle\u003c\/strong\u003e of \u003cem\u003eLady Marmalade\u003c\/em\u003e fame, and producer of \u003cstrong\u003eLisa Lisa\u003c\/strong\u003e and \u003cstrong\u003eBush Tetras\u003c\/strong\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is the very first material to be released from \u003cem\u003eDanceteria\u003c\/em\u003e, Soft Cell’s forthcoming sixth and final album. It is also the first time new music has been released since the sad, untimely passing of Dave Ball in October 2025. Almond led the tributes, describing Ball as a “brilliant musical genius” and the world’s media hailing Dave as an electronic music pioneer. Dave finished \u003cem\u003eDanceteria\u003c\/em\u003e very close to his passing and it is in full tribute to him that the album release goes ahead as planned.
