Having demonstrated his songwriting bona fides with his critically acclaimed debut ‘\u003cem\u003eMaking Sand\u003c\/em\u003e’, which was named ‘RTE Album of the Week’ and garnered an RTE Folk Award nomination for ‘Best Original Song’ (\u003cem\u003eMaking Sand\u003c\/em\u003e), Padraig is again teaming up with renowned producer \u003cstrong\u003eJohn Reynolds\u003c\/strong\u003e (\u003cstrong\u003eSinead O’Connor, Damien Dempsey\u003c\/strong\u003e) and the album features some of the finest musicians in Irish music such as former \u003cstrong\u003eWaterboys Anthony Thistlethwaite\u003c\/strong\u003e (now with the \u003cstrong\u003eSaw Doctors\u003c\/strong\u003e) and \u003cstrong\u003eSteve Wickham\u003c\/strong\u003e as well as \u003cstrong\u003eAldoc, Sean McKeown \u003c\/strong\u003eand \u003cstrong\u003eFergal Scahill\u003c\/strong\u003e.  \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text\"\u003e\u003cspan class=\"color_11 wixui-rich-text__text\"\u003eJack’s songwriting heroes include \u003cstrong\u003eJames Taylor, Van Morrison, Richard Thompson, Enya\u003c\/strong\u003e, and \u003cstrong\u003eJimmy McCarthy\u003c\/strong\u003e and he seeks to develop his own songwriting style and with plaudits from industry legends like \u003cstrong\u003eMike Scott, Sharon Shannon\u003c\/strong\u003e and \u003cstrong\u003eMiles Hunt\u003c\/strong\u003e, and laudatory reviews from the likes of Hot Press, \u003cstrong\u003ePadraig Jack\u003c\/strong\u003e has already made his mark on the Irish music scene.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text\"\u003e\u003cspan class=\"color_11 wixui-rich-text__text\"\u003e2024 has seen Padraig play headline shows at Dublin TradFest in the Pepper Canister Church along with Cuas as well as shows at Kilkenny TradFest, Dublin’s Cobblestone, Galway’s Roisin Dubh and a concert in An Spidéal in Stiúdeo Cuan as part of their Summer Concert Series.
