Versatile pianists \u003cstrong\u003eTony Tixier\u003c\/strong\u003e, who arranged an explosive version of the Nova\/Free Spirits material created by Steve Reid, and \u003cstrong\u003eRob Clearfield\u003c\/strong\u003e, known for his work with \u003cstrong\u003eMakaya McCraven\u003c\/strong\u003e, create hypnotic bass lines and captivating synth textures across shared keyboards and synthesizers.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEritrean-American trumpeter \u003cstrong\u003eHermon Mehari\u003c\/strong\u003e and Italian saxophonist \u003cstrong\u003eFrancesco Geminiani\u003c\/strong\u003e, both based in Paris and active on the European scene, form a powerful brass section. On \u003cem\u003eMorning Prayer\u003c\/em\u003e, Francesco performs for the first time on the \u003cstrong\u003eNautilus\u003c\/strong\u003e, a flute of his own design that resembles an ocarina. Carved from maple wood and featured on the album cover, the instrument was designed according to the Fibonacci sequence and the golden ratio.
