Her longtime friend and collaborator, \u003cstrong\u003eAndres Renteria\u003c\/strong\u003e, plays percussion and \u003cstrong\u003eAroyn Day\u003c\/strong\u003e from Micah's band Particle Kid joined to play bass.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe album was mixed with \u003cstrong\u003eMario Caldato Jr.\u003c\/strong\u003e in northeast Los Angeles, Mia's hometown. \u003cem\u003eHuman Experience\u003c\/em\u003e features guest appearances from \u003cstrong\u003eMiguel Atwood-Ferguson\u003c\/strong\u003e on strings, \u003cstrong\u003eGabe Noel\u003c\/strong\u003e on bass, Mia's husband \u003cstrong\u003eJesse Peterson\u003c\/strong\u003e on keys and whistles, and their daughter \u003cstrong\u003eYnez\u003c\/strong\u003e on backing vocals.
