My playing style comes exclusively from the guitarists in these bands. I’m not a Christian, but the Bible is still a strong influence, partly through \u003cem data-start=\"1238\" data-end=\"1262\"\u003eJesus Christ Superstar\u003c\/em\u003e. I’m not an academic, but \u003cstrong data-start=\"1289\" data-end=\"1304\"\u003eShakespeare\u003c\/strong\u003e is absolutely amazing. I have a fascination with science fiction, for example \u003cstrong data-start=\"1383\" data-end=\"1394\"\u003eKubrick\u003c\/strong\u003e’s \u003cem data-start=\"1397\" data-end=\"1420\"\u003e2001: A Space Odyssey\u003c\/em\u003e. I admire many British lyricists, such as \u003cstrong data-start=\"1463\" data-end=\"1476\"\u003eKate Bush\u003c\/strong\u003e and \u003cstrong data-start=\"1481\" data-end=\"1498\"\u003ePeter Gabriel\u003c\/strong\u003e.”\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"1504\" data-end=\"1662\"\u003eThere is a lot to discover in \u003cem data-start=\"1534\" data-end=\"1549\"\u003eWhite Shadows\u003c\/em\u003e. We decided that there shouldn’t be a single weak song or meaningless note. Even so, it surpassed our expectations. One of the feelings we wanted to capture in our sound was a natural groove, the kind you hear in older artists and in classical music.
