They played shows with U2, Tom Petty \u0026amp; The Heartbreakers and Willie Nelson. By 1986, Lone Justice broke up. McKee, Hedgecock, Etzioni and Heffington would begin their solo careers….\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eNow, through the advent of technology, sweat and tears, a new Lone Justice album has been completed, featuring the original debut album band Maria McKee, Ryan Hedgecock, Marvin Etzioni and the late Don Heffington. Special guests include string arranger \u003cstrong\u003eTammy Rogers\u003c\/strong\u003e, multi-horn player \u003cstrong\u003eDavid Ralicke\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eGreg Leisz\u003c\/strong\u003e on steel guitar and \u003cstrong\u003eBenmont Tench\u003c\/strong\u003e on piano.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe opening track, ‘\u003cem\u003eYou Possess Me\u003c\/em\u003e’, puts McKee up front and center, backed only by a string and mandolin quartet. ‘\u003cem\u003eRattlesnake Mama\u003c\/em\u003e’ was once a thrashing electric staple in their 1983 live set - this version, however, is all acoustic with Hedgecock on rhythm auto-harp, and features Tammy Rogers on fiddle. Later, they screech through a blistering cover of ‘\u003cem\u003eTeenage Kicks\u003c\/em\u003e’ (the 1978 single by \u003cstrong\u003eThe Undertones\u003c\/strong\u003e).\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIt is no wonder Los Angeles was lit up by the live performances of Lone Justice.
