It brings together three privately recorded duo sessions, spanning 1967–1976, and lasting over 70 minutes.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe first six tracks, recorded on 15 October 1970, feature Tristano in duet with tenor saxophonist \u003cstrong\u003eLenny Popkin\u003c\/strong\u003e, who worked with \u003cstrong\u003eEddie Gomez\u003c\/strong\u003e and, more recently, with Tristano's daughter, drummer \u003cstrong\u003eCarol Tristano\u003c\/strong\u003e, who also contributes the liner notes for this release.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe collection continues with two free improvisations recorded in 1976 as piano duets with \u003cstrong\u003eConnie Crothers\u003c\/strong\u003e, who also recorded a duet album with Tristano's guitarist son, \u003cstrong\u003eBud Tristano\u003c\/strong\u003e.
