Their music can be described as a classic punk sound, hard and fast whilst also including melodic guitar and vocal parts. Influence taken from classics such as The Clash, The Jam and The Stranglers.\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eWhile touring, the band met \u003cstrong\u003eLars Frederiksen\u003c\/strong\u003e (Rancid) who took an interest in Grade 2 and ultimately played some of their music videos to his bandmate \u003cstrong\u003eTim Armstrong\u003c\/strong\u003e. Armstrong liked what he saw and not only agreed to produce the bands forthcoming record but signed them to his label, \u003cstrong\u003eHellcat Records\u003c\/strong\u003e.\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eLast December, Grade 2 flew to Los Angeles, and over the course of two weeks, tracked the dozen songs that comprise \u003cem\u003eGraveyard Island\u003c\/em\u003e. Hes one of the most efficient people weve ever worked with. He knows exactly what he wants.
