For over ten years now, the Dublin quartet (vocalist \u003cstrong\u003eDara Kiely\u003c\/strong\u003e, guitarist \u003cstrong\u003eAlan Duggan Borges\u003c\/strong\u003e, bassist \u003cstrong\u003eDaniel Fox\u003c\/strong\u003e, and drummer \u003cstrong\u003eAdam Faulkner\u003c\/strong\u003e) have been redefining what you could loosely call “rock music” in the 21st century, influencing a wide swath of similarly forward-thinking guitar acts along the way. Across 2015’s \u003cem\u003eHolding Hands With Jamie\u003c\/em\u003e, 2019’s \u003cem\u003eThe Talkies\u003c\/em\u003e, and 2022’s \u003cem\u003eMost Normal\u003c\/em\u003e, the band perfected a vision that wasn’t quite post-punk, wasn’t quite noise-rock, wasn’t quite anything besides an idiosyncratic, ground-breaking hybrid that could only come from the four of them.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn the four years since \u003cem\u003eMost Normal\u003c\/em\u003e, each member embarked on other artistic endeavors. Kiely fostered a newfound love of painting, Faulkner played drums for \u003cstrong\u003eLankum\u003c\/strong\u003e on the road, Fox became an increasingly in-demand producer guiding ascendant acts like Sprints, Lambrini Girls, and Mandy, Indiana, while Duggan Borges launched his solo project the \u003cstrong\u003eNull Club\u003c\/strong\u003e with collaborations featuring Mandy, Indiana’s Valentine Caulfield, the Horrors’ Faris Badwan, Miss Grit, and Brooklyn MC Elucid.
