They mean to continue this tradition with \u003cem\u003eEscape Of The Phoenix\u003c\/em\u003e, another heavy, melancholic and thought-provoking journey as only EVERGREY can create.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWritten and recorded during the pandemic, \u003cem\u003eEscape Of The Phoenix\u003c\/em\u003e came to life according to plans that had been laid out in 2019. Englund and drummer \u003cstrong\u003eJonas Ekdahl\u003c\/strong\u003e began composing the songs in January, creating a foundation for the album before EVERGREY gathered together and arranged the songs as a group. Unlike a typical creative process, which is often interrupted by appointments, travelling and one-off shows, lockdown requirements gave the band much needed time to work unhindered.
