Eric returned to the same venue in 1991 with the same three line -ups and played a further 24 shows. The huge undertaking of rehearsing for performances of three distinctly different genres was made even more challenging by the line-up for the rock shows varying from 4, 9 or 13 band members.\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eClapton has always played with superlative musicians, and these shows were no exception. The bands included \u003cstrong\u003eJohnnie Johnson\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eJimmie Vaughan\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eChuck Leavell\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eNathan East\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eGreg Phillinganes\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eSteve Ferrone\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eRay Cooper\u003c\/strong\u003e, and \u003cstrong\u003eJerry Portnoy\u003c\/strong\u003e. Additionally, legendary special guests joined Clapton on stage: \u003cstrong\u003ePhil Collins\u003c\/strong\u003e in the rock ensemble; \u003cstrong\u003eRobert Cray\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eBuddy Guy\u003c\/strong\u003e and \u003cstrong\u003eAlbert Collins\u003c\/strong\u003e for the blues shows.\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThe Orchestral performances were arranged and conducted by \u003cstrong\u003eMichael Kamen\u003c\/strong\u003e the highly regarded and successful composer who had worked with Clapton previously (Lethal Weapon, Edge Of Darkness).
