His first solo recordings were for \u003cstrong\u003eStudio One\u003c\/strong\u003e with trumpeter \u003cstrong\u003eDavid Madden\u003c\/strong\u003e and released as \u003cem\u003e‘Im and David’\u003c\/em\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn 1970 he connected with \u003cstrong\u003eCount Ossie\u003c\/strong\u003e and was part of \u003cem\u003e‘The Mystic Revelation of Rastafari’\u003c\/em\u003e. Cedric Brooks played saxophone and flute and arranged the horn section.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCedric Brooks developed wide musical influences moving between the USA and Africa where he performed in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. All of Cedric’s musical influences are apparent in this musically rich album, \u003cem\u003e‘United Africa’\u003c\/em\u003e.
