O’Grady would pass away from COVID in 2020, with her voluminous works across various media - text, image, and sound - having been unpublished during her lifetime.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWorking with O’Grady’s estate, \u003cstrong\u003eDark Entries\u003c\/strong\u003e has assembled thirteen of her finest recordings, including instant classics like \u003cem\u003e“James Dean to the Rescue,”\u003c\/em\u003e \u003cem\u003e“Tourniquet,”\u003c\/em\u003e and, of course, \u003cem\u003e“Toilet Kiss.”\u003c\/em\u003e Two songs, \u003cem\u003e“Angel with a Key”\u003c\/em\u003e and \u003cem\u003e“Love Comes Like a Cutthroat,”\u003c\/em\u003e were recorded at a studio in Los Angeles for a 7” release that never materialized, while the rest of the material was recorded live in 1979 at The Ambush, a San Francisco leather club. O’Grady’s songs, often written from the perspective of a gay man, explode like a genderfuck version of \u003cstrong\u003ePatti Smith\u003c\/strong\u003e, like \u003cstrong\u003eBuffy St. Marie\u003c\/strong\u003e in leather, like the hedonic utopianism of the 1960s dragged (blissfully) through the broken glass of the 1970s.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe release of \u003cem\u003eTerminal Fascination\u003c\/em\u003e coincides with the publication of \u003cem\u003e‘A Cross-Worlds Angel,’\u003c\/em\u003e a 300-page book of O’Grady’s work by \u003cstrong\u003ePhillip Zimmerman\u003c\/strong\u003e.
