The lead single, \"\u003cem\u003eAmerica's Boy\u003c\/em\u003e\", hinted at more minimalist soundscapes, and this is confirmed on the album. Yet, this serves\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eBroadcast\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003erather well.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOn songs such as \"\u003cem\u003eSuperb Black Cat\u003c\/em\u003e\", \"\u003cem\u003eGoodbye Girls\u003c\/em\u003e\" or the annoyingly catchy \"\u003cem\u003eMichael A Grammar\u003c\/em\u003e\", Keenan and Cargill work around frail distorted electronics and interferences on which they add guitars, bass, and linear drum beats.
