He plays both uilleann pipes and hammered dulcimer in the group \u003cstrong\u003eMacBóchra\u003c\/strong\u003e, whose music is inspired by the folk tales of the oldest known seanchaí, Fintan mac Bóchra, and who are also collaborating with \u003cstrong\u003eStrive Theatre\u003c\/strong\u003e to stage a bilingual theatrical production based on their music, called Goll.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBrian’s debut solo album, \u003cem\u003eDulcimer Dreams\u003c\/em\u003e, was recently released to critical acclaim and explores the traditional Irish music repertoire on the instrument, in support of this release Brian has embarked on a national tour of Ireland, with a European leg happening later this year.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBrian Leach's ethereal music is Irish folk performed on the hammered dulcimer. Traditional music is interspersed with expansive melodies and rhythms improvised on his unique instrument. His cosmic sound transports the audience between worlds, with ancient elements and something new.
