After joining forces in 1989, Black Sheep made an immediate impact with their 1991 breakthrough single “\u003cem\u003eFlavor of the Month\u003c\/em\u003e”, followed by their acclaimed debut album \u003cem\u003eA Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing\u003c\/em\u003e. The record earned widespread recognition for its inventive rhythms and sharp, witty, often humorous lyricism.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTheir second album \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eNon-Fiction\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e arrived in 1994, reaching No. 14 on the U.S. R\u0026amp;B\/Hip-Hop chart and continuing their signature blend of jazzy hip-hop and clever, tongue-in-cheek storytelling. The album featured two singles “\u003cem\u003eWithout a Doubt\u003c\/em\u003e” and “\u003cem\u003eNorth South East West\u003c\/em\u003e”.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFollowing its release, the group remained largely inactive throughout the decade, with the exception of Dres, who recorded a solo project under the moniker \u003cstrong\u003eDres The Black Sheep\u003c\/strong\u003e.
