Rounding it all off, are non-album B-Sides, and additional live recordings, previously only available on video.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe \u003cstrong\u003eRhythm King\u003c\/strong\u003e's modus operandi was established right from their '97 debut album '\u003cem\u003eStruttin' Our Stuff\u003c\/em\u003e', where Bill and long-time collaborator \u003cstrong\u003eTerry Taylor\u003c\/strong\u003e, were joined by an eye-watering array of talent that included \u003cstrong\u003eAlbert Lee\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eEric Clapton\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eGary Brooker\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eGeorgie Fame\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003ePaul Carrack\u003c\/strong\u003e and \u003cstrong\u003ePeter Frampton\u003c\/strong\u003e. Into this mix came singers \u003cstrong\u003eBeverley Skeete\u003c\/strong\u003e and \u003cstrong\u003eMike Sanchez\u003c\/strong\u003e, drummer \u003cstrong\u003eGraham Broad\u003c\/strong\u003e, a brass section anchored by \u003cstrong\u003eFrank Mead\u003c\/strong\u003e and \u003cstrong\u003eNick Payn\u003c\/strong\u003e, pianist \u003cstrong\u003eDave Hartley\u003c\/strong\u003e, and guitarist \u003cstrong\u003eMartin Taylor\u003c\/strong\u003e, all of whom would become regular Kings and Queens.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA year later, '\u003cem\u003eAnyway The Wind Blows\u003c\/em\u003e' introduced \u003cstrong\u003eAndy Fairweather-Low\u003c\/strong\u003e as a frequent fellow traveller, while guest artistes included \u003cstrong\u003eChris Rea\u003c\/strong\u003e, and Bill's former bandmate, guitarist \u003cstrong\u003eMick Taylor\u003c\/strong\u003e. The 2000 collection '\u003cem\u003eGroovin'\u003c\/em\u003e saw an appearance by percussionist to the stars \u003cstrong\u003eRay Cooper\u003c\/strong\u003e, who enjoyed it so much, he came back in 2001 for '\u003cem\u003eDouble Bill\u003c\/em\u003e', where the ensemble were joined by an appearance from \u003cstrong\u003eGeorge Harrison\u003c\/strong\u003e. Another stellar name was added to the credits on '\u003cem\u003eJust For A Thrill\u003c\/em\u003e' in 2007, with \u003cstrong\u003eMark Knopfler\u003c\/strong\u003e lending his considerable talents.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCapturing the sheer joy of the Rhythm Kings' stage performances, '\u003cem\u003eLive\u003c\/em\u003e' (2005) and '\u003cem\u003eLive Communication\u003c\/em\u003e' (2011) were recorded in Germany in '04, and the UK in '08 respectively. The 2018 collection '\u003cem\u003eStudio Time\u003c\/em\u003e' features 15 outtakes from eight different sessions, originally recorded between 1987 and 2003.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAs you would expect from such a talented cast, the playing is of the highest calibre, breathing new life into a varied (and occasionally unexpected) selection of songs, drawn from Blues, Jazz, Rock 'n' Roll, R\u0026amp;B and Soul standards, plus some originals from Bill, that fit seamlessly into the feel and mood. The group's enjoyment of playing together is obvious on every track.
