Heavily influenced by bands like \u003cstrong\u003eWhitesnake\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eJourney\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eBad English\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eFM\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eHeartland\u003c\/strong\u003e and \u003cstrong\u003eDare\u003c\/strong\u003e, he set about writing the songs that became the first album entitled \u003cem\u003ePower\u003c\/em\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003ePower\u003c\/em\u003e was first released as a CD back in 1994 on Music For Nations and subsequently re-released in 2008 on Escape Music. Atlantic raised many eyebrows with this release, which can be ranked alongside bands such as \u003cstrong\u003eHeartland\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eDare \u003c\/strong\u003eand \u003cstrong\u003eShy\u003c\/strong\u003e (Tony Mills also guests on the album!).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBand members include Simon Harrison on guitar and keyboards and the great \u003cstrong\u003ePhil Bates\u003c\/strong\u003e (\u003cstrong\u003eTrickster\u003c\/strong\u003e\/\u003cstrong\u003eQuill\u003c\/strong\u003e) on lead vocals, guitars and keyboards. The album had so much potential at the time it is a shame that it did not receive the recognition it richly deserved.
