Marea told me she never let her own voice be on records usually, but Pat and I encouraged her to include her singing. Imagined scenarios dealing with death and loss and a life being remembered and honoured. You know, cheery stuff for a house banger.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePat and I worked on the music on further sessions with his \u003cstrong\u003eSolid Wall\u003c\/strong\u003e partner \u003cstrong\u003eLucas\u003c\/strong\u003e, and I enjoyed trying to give the guitar an underwater feel; Neil Young’s ‘Will To Love’ was being channelled for that element, and the Beach Boys’ ‘Til I Die’ also with the added (Mellotron) vibraphone parts.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI think the song is an unusual and emotive mix of powerful epic ballad with house- leaning dancefloor track.
